Manga comics was a result of the overwhelming demand of anime products. Since the introduction of anime to other countries it became more and more popular. Manga Entertainment's first release was entitled Akira which was a big hit. Due to its success, the company licensed other anime that will be released in countries such as Australia, Europe and eventually in the US.

Aside from creating manga comics, the company also co-produces anime movies such as Eon Kid, Ghost in Shell, Street Fighter Alpha: The Animation and the like.
